"Breathless" was the perfect novella addition to the Breathe Series. We read Breathless through the eyes of Tate, and it was fantastical (yes, thats a word). If you every wondered how much this ex-player loved Sav, you will now read it with your very eyes. This boy, is done for. Head over heels in love with Savannah.
We left off Just Breathe at Savannah leaving for New York. Breathless is all about what happens while she is away. We get a little bit of everything in this one, more Tate, more Savannah, more Tanzi, more Jack..
"I knew she was mine, but the idea of making her fall in love with me time and time again was what I lived for."
But with this group, you know the drama is always right around the corner, so of course we get more drama. Unexpected drama actually, the type that I didn't see coming one bit. This novella reads like a full length story. There is a TON packed into a nice little novella type package, and it flows amazingly.
But in typical Rachel Brookes fashion (I'm looking at you lady.. snarling..) Breathless leaves off on an cliffhanger. The type that makes you lose sleep (and message the author yelling, sorry Rachel.. only a little sorry though.. hehe), the type that will have you wondering "BUT.. WHAT?! NO! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!!". Everyone here knows by now I'm a sucker for a good cliffhanger, and this one, you won't see coming.
And now.. I sit and (not so patiently) wait for "Breathe Again".
(sigh..)
