YAY!!
"Emma Preston has the best of it all. She is the daughter of a former Super Model and a Rock n’ Roll legend. But nothing is as perfect as it seems – her parents are divorced and she’s forced to live with her mother, who is more focused on climbing the social ladder of their private Santa Monica community rather than being a mother. Meanwhile, Emma’s dad is off playing rock star.
Growing up in a trailer park with his mother, Jesse is used to being looked down on. When his mother begs him to put an application in for a chance to win a scholarship to one of Santa Monica’s top private schools, he never expects to actually get in. When he does, he is forced to attend school with a bunch of rich kids that he hates. He ignores their stares as they look down on for him for his tattoos and less than impressive car. As long as he has his surf board and the guys at the tattoo shop, he’ll make it through.
Emma can’t help but be intrigued when Jesse shows up on the first day of school. Her mother would never approve if she found out that Emma was talking to someone poor, but she doesn’t care. There’s just something about Jesse that draws her to him.
Jesse tries to hate Emma, but he can’t. Forced to hide their relationship from Emma’s mother and everyone around them, things start to fall apart. When Jesse’s friend, Ally, decides to interfere, things go from bad to worse.
Can they survive their first love, or will they be left with nothing more than Shattered Ties?"
