Wicked Games by Jill Myles Review

From GoodReads:

"Abby Lewis never pictured herself on the survival game show, Endurance Island. She's just not the survival type. But when her boss offers her a spot on the show and the opportunity of a lifetime, she packs her bags and heads to the tropics to be a contestant. Once in the game, though, it's clear that Abby's in over her head.

No one's more competitive than sexy, delicious and arrogant Dean Woodall. Sure, he's clever, strong, good at challenges, and has a body that makes her mouth water. He also hates Abby just as much as she hates him. That's fine with her; she'll just ignore the jerk.
But the rules of Endurance Island are working against them. Abby and Dean are teamed up & alone on the beach. It's either work together, or go home. Stuck with no one's company but their own, they learn they might just make a good team after all. And Abby learns that with just a little bit of kindling, the flames of hate can quickly turn to flames of passion.
This book features enemies, lovers, enemies who become lovers, and lots and lots of tropical heat."

My Thoughts:
Okay.. Think "Survivor" meets "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", that's what you can expect from Wicked Games. An absolutely enjoyable quick summer read!
Abby Lewis works as a columnist for a popular magazine. So when her boss puts her on the spot to work on a new story, that involves Abby going "undercover" as a contestant on the television show "Endurance Island", Abby cannot turn her down. Despite her initial reaction of not having any interest whatsoever, when she hears the details involving a book deal, possibly winning 2 million dollars, and thinks about having 6 weeks away from her boss, she starts to warm up to the idea.
"A six-week island getaway and a book deal any way I looked at it. I glanced over at Jeannie and she was giving me a death glare. Island or Boss from Hell. Coconut Hell or Editorial Hell. Sand in my swimsuit crack every day for two months, or Jeannie up my ass for the rest of my life."
So off she goes to her island "getaway". What she didn't account for was Dean Woodall, the absolute hottie, who immediately gets on Abby's bad side.
"I hated Dean on site. Screw him. I didn't care if he did happen to be one of the hottest guys I'd ever seen.."
So what happens when the two of them are teamed up together, alone, in their own secluded camp? Fireworks.. first the bad kind, and then the good kind, and up and down and up and down from there..
With both of them hiding secrets to who they truly are, it makes for an explosive twist, and keeps you interested throughout the whole book.
Definitely put this on your Summer Reading list! It's a perfect beach read at only 150 pages!

3.5 - 4 star rating based on the length and the somewhat predictability of the book, but a fun fun read none the less!
